As we wrap up the year, the Gerard Fox Law team is hard at work for our clients and for the community at large.  One of our staff members, Andrianna D’Sant Angelo is actively involved with a foster care center in the community and offers her perspective during this holiday season.

I have the pleasure of volunteering with a foster care center called Extraordinary Families here in Los Angeles.  The staff that works there are dedicated, hardworking and deeply caring individuals who go above and beyond to serve the children and young adults assigned to them.  This Christmas, they needed donations for their annual Christmas party for the children and families.  Our Firm's founding Partner, Gerard P. Fox and his wife Samantha generously donated to Extraordinary Families.  The Fox's donation allowed the center to help fund activities for the children such as bringing in Santa Claus, who the kids were able to joyfully whisper their Christmas wishes to.

Extraordinary Families gave me the honor of inviting me to their Christmas Party to see firsthand the wonderful activities that the donation from Gerry and Samantha provided.  It was truly one of the most moving experiences I have ever had.  I saw parents thanking Extraordinary Families' staff members for providing the children a safe place to gather and to have fun.  I heard their many stories detailing their experiences as foster parents and dealing with their overwhelming love for a child they know they might not get to keep.  In addition, every person I met had a smile on their face.  I won't soon forget how incredibly joyous the night was; the parents and children were so happy to be there and to be sharing love and friendship with each other.

The staff at Extraordinary Families wanted me to thank Gerry, Samantha, and the Firm for their donation.  It meant so much to them and they were so grateful.  Personally I am grateful to work at a firm that supports worthy causes and encourages us to enact positive change in this world.  Thank you for the donation which gave two hundred children a wonderful day and allowed me to firsthand experience the spirit of Christmas.
